“Fill My Cup” Ladies’ Conference 2023 – Bangjak Baptist and BenTai Baptist Churches: As Mother’s Day in Thailand has always been recognized on the Queen’s birthday, we continue to have our ladies’ conference during that time also. This year was uniquely fun with lots of new friendships formed. There were great testimonies from new believers and also great messages from Missionary Lisa Files. We had Thai ladies who have been believers for 20 years or more, new believers who have been saved less than one year and some ladies who are interested in Christianity but still trying to figure it out. We had a great group from both BenTai Baptist and Bangjak Baptist Churches. It always warms my heart to do ministry together with both my daughters-in-law. They are both so talented and such a blessing to my heart!! There is something about laughing and crying together that brings ladies really close! Our hearts were definitely full.
Health Update: Thank you so much for your continued prayers. I have continued to show improvement in the weekly blood tests. My immune system has remained better since changing to a newer type of chemo and getting off immunotherapy drugs. I did hit a “bump in the road” when I arrived for dialysis with 104.4 fever during this time period. I was admitted for several days for a lung infection from a rare bacteria. I am still recovering and covet your prayers. We remain thankful the Lord takes such good care of me, and the doctors here are very good.
ESL Classes – God’s Blessings: At Bangjak Baptist we continue to have English classes every week to reach out to our Thai community and also to offer a very useful skill for free. We are thankful that several of our members also attend so they can befriend our students and invite them to join our worship services and various activities of the church. Every class is followed by teaching from God’s Word. We have been so thankful that recently we have had several of our students come for the worship service and also join the Christmas choir. Please pray we will see some new believers soon!
Christmas: With Christmas just around the corner, we really appreciate the special offerings that have started coming in. We will be in 3-4 huge shopping malls to perform this year on the weekend of Christmas, and we will hand out gift bags with gospel cartoon booklets and candy to shoppers. We also have special outreaches within the church for our refuge families. We will be providing food baskets for 100 families and a small gift for children.
